Woollahra - T. Pasion Essential Elements I |
Time: 18:30-19:30 Cost:
$20.00 < Class > |
Essential Elements for Beginners (and for experienced dancers ‘revisiting’ the fundamentals):
• a powerful and expressive walk
• clear ‘invisible’ lead and follow
• a practical vocabulary of basic essential figures
• an ability to ‘catch’ the various pulses of tango music.
Relaxed small class. Contact Anna 0418 684 583
In 20 years of dancing in Buenos Aires, Europe and Asia, we have observed, learned from and danced with the best Argentinian teachers and performers. They dance in a very different way in milongas - especially in Buenos Aires.
Like the Buenos Aires milongueros, they dance in an intimate embrace, totally engaged with their partner. Their sole aim is to express the richness of the great tango pieces as played by the great orquestas. They use tango figures in a deeply musical, ‘less is more’ fashion – so that they are free to fully and mutually experience all the moods and rhythms of this wonderful music.
The aim of our classes is to guide new and experienced dancers to this level of experience.
